Every trip is private: one vehicle, your group, no shared itinerary. Pickup is from your hotel or riad. Below are the 6 routes we run from Marrakech, with the information you need to pick the right one.
Ourika Valley
The closest Atlas escape. A river runs through a valley of Berber villages and market terraces, with waterfalls above Setti Fatma. Back in Marrakech before dinner.
Imlil Valley
Base village for Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa. Walnut groves, mule tracks, and a Berber lunch at altitude. Quieter and higher than Ourika.
Agafay Desert
A stone desert 30 minutes from the city. No dunes, but real silence and open space. Best visited at sunset with dinner under the stars and live Gnawa music.
Essaouira
Morocco’s windswept Atlantic city. Portuguese ramparts, a working fishing port and a UNESCO-listed medina where the walls are blue and white and the wind never stops.
Ouzoud Waterfalls
Morocco’s tallest waterfalls at 110 metres. Barbary macaques in the olive groves above, swimming spots in the pools below. Lunch on a terrace directly facing the falls.
Ait Ben Haddou via Telouet
Cross the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, stop at the crumbling Telouet Kasbah, and reach the UNESCO ksar of Ait Ben Haddou. The longest and most varied trip we run from Marrakech.

Common Questions
How early do we leave for day trips from Marrakech?
It depends on the distance. For Essaouira and Ait Ben Haddou via Telouet, we suggest leaving by 7:30 or 8:00 AM to make the most of the day. For Ourika Valley and Agafay, a 9:00 AM start works well.
Can I combine two destinations in one day?
Generally not recommended. Each destination takes a full day to see properly. Rushing two stops means you see neither at their best. The exception is Agafay, which is an evening experience and can follow a morning in the city.
Are the trips suitable for children?
Most are. Ourika Valley, Essaouira and Agafay are easy with children of any age. Ouzoud involves some walking on uneven ground but is manageable. Imlil and Ait Ben Haddou via Telouet are fine for older children.
How do I choose between Ourika and Imlil?
Ourika is closer, flatter and more accessible. Imlil is higher, quieter and gives a stronger sense of the High Atlas. If you have never been to the Atlas Mountains before, either works. If you want genuine mountain village life, Imlil is the better choice.
Can I bring my pet?
Yes. Pets are welcome on all our trips. Dogs, cats and other animals travel with us regularly. Mention your pet when you book and we will make sure the vehicle is set up for a comfortable journey for everyone.
