Ouarzazate Airport Transfer

Private Transfer from Ouarzazate Airport, The Sahara Begins Here

Your Ouarzazate airport transfer is different from any other we offer. Ouarzazate Airport (IATA: OZZ) sits at the edge of the High Atlas and the beginning of the Saharan south. It is our home airport, and the place where we began Rêves de Sables.

From here, you are minutes from the UNESCO-listed Kasbah Aït Benhaddou, the famous Atlas Film Studios (where Gladiator, Game of Thrones and dozens of other productions were filmed), and the beginning of the Draa Valley, 200 kilometres of date palms, kasbahs and ancient caravan routes heading toward the Sahara.

We do not just transfer you from the airport. We introduce you to the landscape that made us fall in love with Morocco. If you want to go deeper, into the Dades Gorge, the Todra Canyon or the dunes of Merzouga, we are the right people to take you there.

FAQ

Ouarzazate Airport Transfer, Everything You Need to Know

Ouarzazate sits at the intersection of the High Atlas mountains to the north and the pre-Saharan valleys to the south. Every major route into Morocco’s desert south, toward Zagora, Merzouga, Draa and the Dades, passes through or begins near Ouarzazate. It has been a crossroads for trans-Saharan trade caravans for centuries, and today it is the natural starting point for any Sahara journey. Rêves de Sables was founded here precisely because this is where the most extraordinary part of Morocco begins.
Absolutely. Aït Benhaddou is just 30 kilometres northwest of Ouarzazate, and many of our clients ask us to stop there during their transfer from the airport. We are happy to include it as a stop on your way to your accommodation. The kasbah is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a genuine highlight of any Morocco visit. Just let us know when booking.
The Erg Chebbi dunes near Merzouga are approximately 4 to 5 hours east of Ouarzazate by private vehicle, passing through the Dades and Todra gorge regions. This is one of the great drives of Morocco. We can combine your airport transfer with a full day tour through the gorges to arrive at the dunes in time for sunset. Contact us to plan the full itinerary.
Ouarzazate has hosted dozens of major international productions at the Atlas Film Studios and on location across the surrounding landscape. Films and series including Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, Babel, The Mummy, and multiple Game of Thrones sequences were filmed here.
